How It's Built

Two Texarkana builders. One finished truck.

Artex supplies and specs the International chassis in Texarkana, Arkansas. Ledwell builds and mounts the dump body in Texarkana, Texas. You buy the finished truck from Artex.

Both companies are in Texarkana.

Uses

What they haul.

Construction and site work

Spoil out, base in. A 5 to 6 yard box handles day-to-day site and street work.

Aggregate and materials

Rock, sand and asphalt by the tandem load in a 12 to 14 yard body.

Municipal and public works

Street, drainage and storm cleanup. International Financial offers municipal financing.

Demolition and debris

Add a Rotobec grapple loader to a 12 to 14 yard body and load without a second machine.

Build It Your Way

Three ways to buy.

Tax Year 2026 · Section 179

In service by Dec 31. Deductible in 2026.

Buying for a city or county? Tax-exempt buyers don't use Section 179; International Financial offers municipal financing. Ask Sales.

Questions

Dump Trucks FAQ

What size dump truck do I need?

Artex typically builds 5 to 6 yard bodies on the International MV and 12 to 14 yard bodies on the HV, depending on the job. Tell Sales what you haul and Sales will match the chassis to the work.

Box or tub body?

Ledwell builds both. Tell Sales what you haul and how you load it and we'll spec the body with Ledwell.

Do I need a CDL?

If the GVWR is more than 26,000 pounds, a CDL is required (Ledwell's FAQ). Check the GVWR on the listing.

Which International series?

Typically MV for 5 to 6 yards and HV for 12 to 14 yards. The CV™ series also carries Ledwell dump bodies for lighter work.

Is Artex a Ledwell dealer?

No. Ledwell has no dealers. Artex provides the International chassis and Ledwell completes the build; you buy the finished truck from Artex.

Can you add a grapple?

Yes. A Rotobec grapple loader is an option on the 12 to 14 yard body.

Can I buy just the chassis, or just the body?

Yes. Artex sells the chassis on its own, and most body-only work is a Ledwell upfit on a chassis you already own.

What does one cost?

In-stock units show the price on the listing. Custom builds are quoted as one truck.

Can I deduct it this year?

A dump truck placed in service by December 31, 2026 can qualify for the Section 179 deduction on your 2026 return. Financed trucks qualify. See our Section 179 page and ask your tax professional.
